OUR STORY
"Everyone has a story. As a Pastor, I often share my story with my church. You might share yours with your children and grandchildren one day. Perhaps you don’t like your story’s beginning. There’s nothing you can do to change where you came from or what has led you here. We wouldn’t want you to! You do have the power, when you put your life in the hands of Jesus Christ, to change your story—the middle and the end.
Our purpose in helping you rewrite your story is to encourage, equip and empower you to live an overcoming life. On every occasion, we’d like to share with you life-changing principles from the Word of God that will help you achieve this goal. Fulfillment in life begins when we live out our created purpose. And that’s why we’re here–to help you find your purpose in Him."

The Word is Active at Acts!
In 1992, Jan Painter, a renowned national and international prophetess from Louisville Kentucky and affiliated with Christian International, gave a prophetic word to Dr. Gay. She had spoken the Word of the Lord stating that Dr. Gay would once again pastor. The prophetic word also indicated that this would be a different church than what he had experienced previously, as this would consist of a multi-cultural, multi-racial congregation.
Acts Ministries Inc. was birth out of an outreach ministry called The Second Chapter of Acts, which was started in 1994. This is when he began to experience God sending the people from various racial and cultural backgrounds.
On October 6, 1996, we began our 3 months of preparation and consecration with my family and friends of the family: Through much praying, fasting and confirmation by the Apostolic, Prophetic Presbytery, it released us in perfect timing of the Lord. Meetings were held every Sunday in a local beauty shop owned and operated by one of our Elders.
Acts Ministries’ first worship service to the public was formally conducted January 5, 1997, at the Dundee Community Center in Dundee, Florida. Several months later we moved to Burns Lane in Winter Haven, Florida.
We are presently residing at our new building location in Eagle Lake, Florida where the Lord is continually blessing us!
